Academic Year 2021–2022 Workshop Program Overview

ATS Fall 2020 Workshop Categories

The workshops fall under five categories:

  1. Introduction and Pedagogy
  2. Content Creation and Structure
  3. Accessibility and Inclusivity
  4. Student Engagement
  5. Assessment and Assignments

Academic Technology Solutions, the Chicago Center for Teaching, and the University of Chicago Library have designed a program of workshops to help instructors prepare for the 2021–2022 Academic Year.  The workshops fall into five categories–Introduction and Pedagogy, Content Creation and Structure, Accessibility and Inclusivity, Student Engagement, and Assessment and Assignments. Together, they represent complementary areas of course design. More workshops will be added as they become available. Check back on this page for the most up-to-date information.

Introduction and Pedagogy

These workshops provide theoretical and practical foundations for thinking about and planning for the return to the classroom, hybrid, or remote teaching.

Accessibility and Inclusivity

These workshops introduce principles and tools for creating inclusive and accessible environments that are intended to effectively engage students of various backgrounds, expectations, and requirements in productive learning and participation. Discussions in these workshops will contribute to making decisions about course structure and tool use.
